Mask Restrictions Lifted at Redeemer for People who are Vaccinated
In line with the governor’s announcement May 14, 2021 and the recent Centers for Disease Control & Prevention change to its guidance on face coverings for the covid-19 pandemic, Redeemer will no longer require masks for those who have been fully immunized. This applies to Divine Service and other gatherings at the church.
“Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance,” the CDC said in its updated guidance.
However, people with compromised immune systems should talk to their doctors about continuing with precautions.
Church leadership will be working to develop a plan to resume in-person Sunday School and fellowship/coffee hour. We will communicate updates as they are finalized.
We will continue to conduct one service on Sunday mornings. This service is at 10:45 a.m. and will be live-streamed and in person.
We continue with a basic adaptation of the Divine Service liturgy with singing coming in the near future.
The offering plate will continue to be left on the table in the back of the Sanctuary for now.
Finally, we continue to ask for grace and patience as we work the kinks out of our return to in-person services.
