Backpacks and School Supplies Collected for Students at Alum Creek Elementary
The Community Care Team sponsored the annual school backpack collection and Janet Winans was the coordinator. An updated supply collection list was provided by Alum Creek Elementary School to make sure that all the supplies are used in classes.
Redeemer’s members bought and donated most of the backpacks and supplies, but some money was donated for purchases and Thrivent made a $250 grant for additional purchases. Forty seven complete backpacks were assembled and delivered to the school. The school distributed the backpacks to students in need.
At an estimated value of $32 per backpack, the total value of the donation is $1504.
Thanks to all who shopped, assembled, and delivered the backpacks. Prayers are offered to all students, teachers, and staff returning to school that the year may be a blessing to them.
