Redeemer offers book study of The Hammer of God by Bo Giertz
Beginning September 11, Pastor Frank Ruffatto leads the adult Sunday School class through a reading of The Hammer of God by Lutheran pastor and bishop, Bo Giertz.
The Hammer of God is a historical/theological novel that demonstrates the power of God's Word over spiritual deadness, rationalism, pietism, and liberalism.
The title of the book is based on Jeremiah 23:29:
"Is not my word like a fire? Says the Lord. And like a hammer that breaks the rock into pieces?"
Sunday School begins each Sunday morning at 9:30. Class participants can pick up a book from pastor Frank.
We request (but do not require) a donation of $23 to cover the cost of the book and shipping. You may also order your book from Concordia Publishing House or Amazon. A Kindle version is also available for purchase via Amazon.
